Back to School!!!

Ruth gave me a magnetic notepad the other day with this image and it got me to thinking.

What if I only thought about the blessings that God has given me? Melanie has an absolutely wonderful scripture on her blog ... "Whatsoever things are true ... honest ... just ... pure ... lovely ... of good report ... if there be any virtue and if there be any praise, think on these things." (Philippians 4:8)

Mission impossible? Not at all ... not if I meditate on the Word of God and worship God with my whole life. God has been soooooo good to me and mine and so often I take it for granted - even the littlest things are wonderful blessings from God - I love the sunrise, it signifies the beginning of a fresh new day - I love the sunset, it means that God has seen me through another day - I soooooo love rainbows, they remind me of God's bountiful promises - and the list goes on and on. Even now, as I write this post, my heart is lifted and my lips are curved upwards in an involuntary smile. I guess that means my heart is happy because my face is cheerful.

Then there are the people in my life that God has blessed me with. They are the ones that give me fresh perspectives on life, perspectives that differ from my own and therefore open my eyes to a different and, sometimes, more informed or more experienced viewpoint.

My family? How can I be so blessed to have such an awesome family. I love them with all my heart. R loves to wrestle with the boys ... actually, I think it's more the other way around, the boys love to wrestle with R. On this particular night though, I think R was well and truly at the bottom of the pile. B has his hands upraised in victory!!! Beware of the B.
I had no intention of making this blog so wordy ... especially to start off with!!! Sigh ... that's so typical, isn't it? No wonder I have a reputation as "Mrs Have-a-Chat"!!!
There are so many good things to think about ...
